M.Sc. Computer Science

Major: Machine Intelligence · Minor: Data Management Systems
thesis
Personalizing Education with Large Language Models: Language Complexity and Personality-Aware Pedagogy, at the Language, Reasoning and Education (LRE) lab. LLM-based frameworks for personality-aware pedagogical strategy selection and dynamic language-complexity adjustment.
coursework
Machine Perception · Probabilistic Artificial Intelligence · Artificial Intelligence in Education · Computational Semantics for NLP · Interactive Machine Learning · Computational Intelligence Lab · Reliable & Trustworthy AI · Big Data · Cloud Computing Architecture · Algorithms and Fairness · Information Security Lab · Technology and Entrepreneurship · Human-Computer Interaction · Data Management Systems
course projects
  • Reliable & Trustworthy AI — implemented a DeepPoly convex-relaxation verifier in PyTorch (linear, convolutional, ReLU, and skip-connection layers), certifying adversarial robustness on MNIST and CIFAR-10.
  • Computational Intelligence Lab — fine-tuned the BERTweet transformer and built a CNN–RNN–attention fusion network for noisy-label sentiment classification.
  • Low-Resource NLP — engineered a Byte Pair Encoding tokenizer with Yakut-specific pre- and post-processing rules to improve language modeling for a low-resource Turkic language.

experience

Aug 2024 — May 2026
unicorn, acquired by Perk · B2B fintech: expense & invoice management, then corporate travel & spend

Product Manager — Yokoy

Owned discovery-to-launch for AI features on the invoice-processing team: scoping through topic research and competitive analysis, defining KPIs, performing usage-data analysis, prototyping, documentation, and customer escalation sessions.

  • AI expense assistant — cut the clicks needed to process an expense by 45% and reduced processing time.
  • Regex-based autofill — automatically filled 60% more fields, cutting manual input.
  • LLM-based auto-onboarding — made setup independent enough that customer success was needed in only half of new accounts.
Feb 2025 — now
Language, Reasoning & Education lab · advised by Prof. Mrinmaya Sachan, Donya Rooein, Sankalan Pal Chowdhury

Research Assistant — ETH Zürich

Designed, built, and evaluated LLM-based frameworks for selecting pedagogical strategies and dynamically adjusting language complexity in interactive tutoring systems — taxonomy design, LLM pipelines, user-study infrastructure, and evaluation. The resulting paper was accepted to EACL 2026 and became the core of my Master’s thesis.

Feb 2023 — Aug 2024
Energy Trading & Risk Management (ETRM) software

Product Management & Solutions Intern — Previse Systems

Designed product solutions for customer use cases by analyzing requirements across eight component-owning teams. Conceptualized and documented new APIs for feature integrations. Extended the analytics component with business-intelligence reporting workflows and market-template product logic.

Jun 2023 — Apr 2024
Group for Sustainability and Technology · supervised by Malte Toetzke

Research Assistant — ETH Zürich

Built a GPT-based chatbot that evaluates business proposals for sustainability challenges across impact, risk, and trade-offs, deployed in a graduate-level course, then ran a mixed-methods study with 200+ students to measure its effect on learning.
